Cecil Arenas now features upgraded hardware: an HP DL380 Gen 9 with 256 GB of memory, a 24-core processor (48 cores with hyperthreading), and dual 1 Gb/s WANs with load balancing. 08/14/19: Over the past two decades, I’ve earned 19 IT certifications and established myself as a professional in the field. With access to high-end hardware and a 1 Gb/s connection, I’ve brought Cecil Arenas back to life for fun. This nearly 20-year-old, barely functional webpage will soon be updated. For now, I’ve repaired the download links (except for pictures) to ensure they work properly. I’ve secured CecilArenas.com for the next 10 years—use it to access both the shard and the site. 02/03/07: Happy New Year! I’m thrilled to offer Cecil Arenas for download, hoping someone will port its unique, custom scripts to RunUO to preserve the PvP arena concept for future UO EMU players. These exceptional scripts, crafted by Geist—arguably the greatest Sphere scripter ever—surpass even the experts at sphereserver.net. Mainstream scripters couldn’t match his talent; he effortlessly brought our boldest ideas to life. This collection is a rare treasure. Cheers to Geist, wherever you are, and heartfelt thanks to Sakarin for years of support.

I’ve always loved PvP and running this shard—whether quietly observing duels or joining in myself. UO PvP stands out with its skill-based balance, where victory depends on talent, not stats. It’s the purest form of PvP, reflected in Sphere EMU shards and here at Cecil Arenas. Only Shadowbane comes close with its diverse, fair combat. Newer “hardcore” PvP games don’t measure up to these classics. I’m waiting for the ultimate PvP game—see you there! 11/30/06: I’ve removed explosion pots from the shard—they don’t fit true PvP when spammed, so they’re gone for good. I’ve been hearing feedback about bandages; what’s the issue? Please share your thoughts on our forums so we can discuss and adjust them to align with major shards. Speaking of which, what prominent shards exist besides Santiago and Jay’s TAR? I’ll sync spell timings with them, as I always do. My aim isn’t to compete but to complement other shards by offering a grind-free practice space. Let me know about current shards—I’ll contact their admins for timing details. Your input on the forums will help me enhance the shard. With it now running on a high-speed connection and my ability to work on it during my job, we can make it top-notch together.
11/29/06: I’ve overhauled the site with improved fonts and colors for better readability. I’ve also added top-notch macro programs to the downloads section. These tools allow you to trigger key presses in specific windows without interfering with other gameplay—perfect for multi-boxing, but valuable even if you don’t. I use them in Shadowbane, though they work with any game. AutoIT, a script-based tool, includes Shadowbane power-leveling examples—give them a try and adjust as needed. Have questions? Visit the forums. AGC, while simpler and less flexible, excels with its ease of use and window-specific control, making it ideal for multitasking. You can find both in the downloads section. AGC is a unique, custom gem you won’t find anywhere else. Years ago, I shared a non-OSI UO Assist; now, I’m bringing you more high-quality tools. Enjoy!
11/27/06: The shard now runs on a blazing 20 Mbit connection! Cecil Arenas’ cable line, twice as fast as before, surpasses most other shards. Combined with our rock-solid stability, this speed should make it the smoothest and most enjoyable UO EMU shard around. I’ve set it up on a custom, gaming-optimized version of Windows. Having run strong for five years—longer than most—I plan to keep it going for another five. I’m considering switching to RunUO; send your suggestions to cecil@cogeco.ca.

11/10/06: The old becomes new again! A hacker from a rival shard took down my PHP-Nuke site, so I’ve abandoned it. I’ll create a new site, but PHP-Nuke’s vulnerability history makes it If you have more HTML files to share, please paste the next one, and I’ll check for any image updates. If you have no more files, let me know how else I can assist! a no-go. I had planned to gift the shard this Christmas, but now I’m keeping it running out of defiance. Sharing might come later—just not anytime soon. I hope Atlantic SE wasn’t involved.
09/19/04: Cecil Arenas’ official website is now switching to PHP-Nuke! Fed up with the outdated design, I tried PHP-Nuke—and I’m delighted with the result. Check it out at ~~http://pvp.kicks-ass.net~~. Launched this morning, it’s still a work in progress but already a big improvement, with more enhancements on the way. Apologies for past lag and downtime. A high-speed connection, like we had before, is in the works. Please bear with me—lag is mostly eliminated, and we’re back to 24/7 uptime, except for occasional crashes. I check accounts daily, banning unauthorized users. Only Sakarin, Geist, myself, and Bloodylungs (our Spanish GM for translations) are admins. Report impostors to cecil@cogeco.ca for an IP ban. Share your issues or ideas on the forums.
05/31/04: I’ve added new UFO links! Watch a 70 MB high-quality video from Disclosureproject.com that proves UFOs and ETs are real. Over 450 credible witnesses—government officials, military personnel, and scientists—discuss alien life and concealed technology. It’s legitimate: a press conference with global reporters calling for a U.S. hearing. They’ve held multiple events with increasing witness numbers; this was the first.
