Connection Guide

The only way to connect to the shard is by using pvp.cecilarenas.com.

All other addresses direct you to the website; you cannot log in to the server using cecilarenas.com alone.

To access Cecil Arenas, edit your login.cfg file in your Ultima Online directory as follows:

The Arenas Codex

Thanks to Robin from the Unknown Factor Guild [X] on TAR, Cecil Arenas has gone down in history as the top Ultima Online PvP shard for over twenty years. Robin provided his world file, featuring a few core arenas and custom scripts. With the help of a very talented team, Cecil Arenas exploded into a legendary shard, delivering countless PvP arenas, games, and unique attractions.

Cecil Arenas’ main focus is player-versus-player dueling arenas spread throughout the world of Britannia, alongside other fun areas like a gentlemen’s club, a casino, a capture-the-flag game, and much more.

Here’s what you can expect at Cecil Arenas:

• Players receive unlimited newbie’d bags, armor, weapons, potions with infinite uses, bandages, and mounts.
• Adjust your carrying capacity to hold an unlimited number of items.
• Death results in no losses, all items are free to acquire, and spells require no reagents.
• Upon logging in, click the blue God Stone to gain Grandmaster-level proficiency in every skill and 100 points in each stat, preparing you for immediate combat.
• Accounts are created instantly and automatically upon connection, allowing you to start PvP battles right away.

Server Hardware

The shard’s host hardware is a dedicated HPE DL380 Gen 9 server equipped with dual 24-core Intel Xeon processors, providing 48 cores with hyperthreading. It features 192 GB of ECC memory and operates on eight enterprise SAS 15K RPM drives in a RAID 50 configuration.

The shard’s network utilizes a dual WAN setup with download speeds of 3 Gb/s and 1 Gb/s. Each WAN connection comes from a different provider and is configured for load balancing.

The server is hosted in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada delivering lag-free performance for North American players.

Server Software

It runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 with FireDaemon Pro to ensure guaranteed uptime.

The shard uses Sphere Server v99f.

An Ultima Online client version 2.0.0, 2.0.3, or 3.0.0 is required.

This shard is based on the Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge era of Ultima Online and employs its associated hues. I recommend installing the Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge expansion, with links available in the downloads section.
